ZIPPER TRANSIT TERMS OF SERVICE

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, registering, or using Zipper Transit (“the App”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

Introduction

Welcome to Zipper Transit (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Zipper Transit platform, including mobile applications, websites, and services.

By creating an account or using Zipper Transit, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Platform Role

Zipper Transit is a technology platform that connects:

  1. Customers (Users)
  2. Professionals (Service Providers)
We do not provide services directly.
⚠️ Zipper Transit is not responsible for the quality, outcome, or delivery of services performed by professionals.

All engagements are between users and professionals.

Eligibility

To use Zipper Transit, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Provide accurate information
  3. Not be prohibited by law from using such services

Account Registration

You agree to:

  1. Provide accurate and complete information
  2. Keep login credentials secure
  3. Be responsible for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for false or misleading information.

Services and Bookings

  1. Users can book professionals through the platform
  2. Professionals may accept or reject requests
  3. Service details, pricing, and timelines are agreed between both parties
Zipper Transit does not guarantee availability or performance.

Payments and Wallet System

  1. Users may deposit funds into their wallet
  2. Wallet balances can be used for services within the app
  3. Payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., Paystack)
  4. We do not store card details

Escrow System

Zipper Transit operates an escrow-based payment system:

  1. Funds are held securely until release conditions are met
  2. Professionals cannot access funds until approved
  3. Funds are released only when the user confirms satisfaction
  4. Once released, funds may not be recoverable
  5. Users may release funds for materials during a job
  6. These funds are considered approved expenses

Disputes

In case of disputes:

  1. Users should make payments on the platform, cash or payment outside the app are not guarantee to be recoverable
  2. Reports can be submitted via the “Report” feature

Zipper Transit may:

  1. Review disputes
  2. Provide mediation support

⚠️ However, we do not guarantee resolution outcomes and are not liable for losses.

Fees and Charges

Zipper Transit may charge:

  1. Service fees
  2. Withdrawal fees
  3. Platform commissions
All fees will be disclosed before transactions.

Identity Verification (KYC)

To ensure safety:

  1. Users may be required to verify identity (e.g., NIN via third-party providers)
  2. Zipper Transit does not store full NIN data
Failure to verify may limit account access.

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  1. Provide false information
  2. Engage in fraud or illegal activity
  3. Harass or abuse other users
  4. Bypass the platform to avoid fees
Violation may result in:

  1. Account suspension
  2. Permanent termination
  3. Legal action

Professional Responsibilities

Professionals agree to:

  1. Deliver services as agreed
  2. Use funds appropriately (especially material payments)
  3. Maintain professionalism
Failure may result in penalties or removal from the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Zipper Transit is not liable for:

  1. Service quality issues
  2. Financial losses between users
  3. Disputes between users and professionals
  4. Delays, damages, or incomplete jobs
Use of the platform is at your own risk.

Third-Party Services

We integrate third-party services such as:

  1. Payment processors
  2. Identity verification providers
We are not responsible for:

  1. Their performance
  2. Data handling
  3. Security issues

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:

  1. Fraud is suspected
  2. Terms are violated
  3. Abuse of platform occurs
We may also freeze funds if necessary for investigation.

Data and Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of: Federal Republic of Nigeria
